Company History

Believing there was a need in the industry for a decorating company that would combine personalized service and state-of-the-art equipment, Jim and Vickie Boubelik founded TradeShow Decorators International in 1992. Vickie had many years of experience in finance and business administration, and Jim’s career in trade show services was already well-established.

Jim understands the meeting planning side of the industry through his tenure as President of Pinnacle Productions, the show management division of Entrepreneur Magazine. He produced twelve shows annually, which ranged in size from 200 to 1500 exhibiting companies. He was the Orlando General Manager of Freeman Decorating Company, and later of Andrews-Bartlett Exposition Services (acquired by GES Exposition Services).

Eugene Hoberg, our Operations Manager, has been with TDI from its inception. He has over 25 years experience in this industry and was a Production Foreman for both Freeman Decorating Company and Andrews-Bartlett.
